It is important to treat the person not the diagnosis, especially with changes in recent years with people experiencing multiple illnesses. If treatment is to be successful then it is paramount to treat holistically – this model is at the core of my business. I graduated in 2008 with my Physiotherapy BSc and worked for East Sussex Healthcare Trust completing my rotations. I became the Therapies Manager and Specialist Practitioner for St Wilfrid’s Hospice in 2012. After gaining my acupuncture accreditation in 2010, my interest in chronic pain led me to return to university part time and over a number of years completed two further degrees, gaining my Masters in Physiotherapy in 2017 and a few months later my Psychology degree (BSc 2017).
